MP Calls for Medical Cannabis Delays to be Addressed

Danielle Rowley MP has written to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, urging him to address the current delays being faced by patients attempting to access medical cannabis.

Thousands of people are currently being denied access to medical cannabis, in spite of their eligibility and the fact that medical cannabis is legal in the UK.

Danielle Rowley MP said:

“These delays are causing unnecessary pain and distress.

“Children with severe epilepsy and their families are living in fear of the next life-threatening seizure, whilst medicine that would help should be legally available.

“The Secretary of State must listen to the concerns of these families, my colleagues in Parliament and the End Our Pain campaign, and act urgently to fix this situation.

“Thank you to the many constituents who have written to me about this very serious issue.”
