Rowley Talks Period Poverty on This Morning

Danielle Rowley MP made an appearance on tv programme This Morning to talk about period poverty ahead of the UK Government’s Spring Statement.

Ms. Rowley featured in a segment on period poverty, where she was interviewed alongside campaigner Amika George by Philip Schofield and Rylan Clark-Neal.

Danielle Rowley MP said:
“My thanks to Phillip and Rylan for taking Period Poverty seriously and having the amazing Amika George and I on This Morning to talk about why it’s an important issue that needs to be addressed now.

“If the Government do announce free period products in high schools in tomorrow’s Spring Statement, it would be a great step forward – BUT unless we tackle the root causes of poverty and how it impacts women, we will never truly end period poverty.”
