Ms. Rowley highlighted the damage that Universal Credit is having on recipients and called for the government to listen to what they had to say.
Danielle Rowley MP said:
“I had only two minutes to speak on Universal Credit debt yesterday.
“I used my time to speak about the damaging impact this is having on families and particularly survivors of domestic abuse.
“There are so many people in our communities that are being affected by Universal Credit. I asked the Government to take their fingers out their ears and listen to the experiences of real people, but sadly they don’t seem to want to listen.”
